9-hole Links Golf Course

A challenging 9-hole links golf course winds its way through the lush peninsula. Splendid homes blend seamlessly into the environment, well manicured gardens, fairways and green belts all add to an unprecedented day out.

It was designed by doyen of SA PGA golf professionals, Ken Elkin, who was Mowbray Golf Club’s Professional and he designed more than 40 golf courses. Devonvale Golf, Parow, Durbanville and Erinvale are just some of his designs.

This may only be a nine-hole golf course, but it certainly promises plenty in the way of a challenging game. The gorgeous greens and fairways wind through the pretty vegetation that graces this part of the country so beautifully.

This, in turn provides a stunning habitat to small buck, hares and plenty different bird species, giving the course a very special aura of nature. Due to the uniqueness of the area, being able to see both the sunrise and sunset, it affords a lengthy day for most of the year, allowing those who prefer either the early or late tee off times.

The course is open Monday through Sunday and visitors are welcome to play here on any day of the week. Shelley Point Hotel & Spa guests get preferential rates:

Affiliated visitors
9 holes: R180
18 holes: R260

Unaffiliated visitors

18 holes: R350

Coastal Drive

The Shelley Point Hotel & Spa offers a unique experience to our guests - the very popular Coastal Drive.
The developer of Shelley Point as well as the owner of the Hotel, brought two of his game-driving vehicles all the way from his farm in Namibia, Erindi, to Shelley Point to show our guests a bit more of the beautiful West Coast.
The drive starts and ends at The Shelley Point Hotel. The total duration varies anything from 2½ hours to about 4 hours – depending on the time available to our guests.
Prices start from R2 000.00 per drive.
